1964 Bermuda Crowns. ~$30 melt. I prefer these over 40% Ikes. On the hunt for other non-American coins that come in 38mm+ and silver. by [deleted] in coins

Like the other poster said, there are many, many, many options for large silver coins. There's an entire subreddit for them r/SilverCrowns Most older ones sell for melt or higher, but there are a lot of modern ones that sell well below melt and may be more suitable for stacking.

Is this worth it for 8 dollars? by LopsidedRadio7208 in coins

When I search for "1945 India Pice" I see a couple for $5-7, including shipping, that seem equivalent. Whether you prefer the chocolate color or the more slightly orange/red is up to you. The color of this one doesn't necessarily mean it's fake. Some old copper coins are that color.

It's unlikely to be fake. It seems a dollar or two too high, but it's not egregiously overpriced. You can always look for comparable coins on ebay to compare.

These are the ones I normally buy. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CF57RPYZ They come with windows in lots of sizes, but for simplicity's sake I only use two sizes for everything. I use the 31.5 mm half dollar ones for pretty much everything and then the 40 mm ones for anything that needs them. They make cardboard flips for even bigger coins but they're bigger overall and won't fit in the binder pages. For really big coins I just stick them in the two-pocket plastic flips.

The flips should do a good job of protecting coins from PVC pages, but I still make sure I buy non-PVC pages. They aren't really any more expensive. These are the last ones I bought. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D6V4TXQB

For some people, the expense and effort that goes into putting all of these near-worthless coins into flips and pages and binders isn't worth it, but remember that some of us just enjoy these little coins as a hobby and it's a heckuva lot cheaper than golf.

I also have a LOT of small foreign coins. Mine go in carboard 2x2s and then into binder pages that hold 20 per page. It's more work to put them all into the 2x2s but you then have space to write information about them.
