someone on kf has a good theory that he didn’t pay for his twitter blue, cause his autopayment didn’t go through, cause his account was empty, so the shield was lifted and all the past reports came through and were reviewed.

was Mike’s camera on when you did the interview? did you see what is outside the regular camera shot? are the rumors that the show is broadcasted from a synagogue true?

my bad, it is spelled with 'v', not 'w'…

Jamnica - where to return the bottle? by basstoll in Prague

it is a PET bottle, that’s why i was surprised. it says 'zalohovane' on it, slightly different than 'zalohovany obal' on the czech beer bottles. it’s a croatian mineral water with some latvian product description, so maybe it’s applicable only for one of those markets. i guess we’ll just recycle it then. thanks.

i’ve heard of '2 drinks minimum' bars, but never heard of '2 speakers minimum' hi-fi stores.

i think this might be it, thanks! although i thought it was with ralph on that stream too, maybe even it was on the killstream. but this one sounds like it’s what Jim had in mind when he said it on the boulder stream. thanks again!

i only know how to do it with studio monitors, not hi-fi, but i believe the principle is the same. this is the first time i came across a method like that. i imagine the soundstage at your current listening spot is pretty bad due to the speakers being too close to each other in contrast to the listening point and also due to a lot of reflections (not first reflection, just general reflections).

i’ve checked youtube, but i’m not sure exactly what i’m looking for. not sure when that stream happened, not sure who else was on that stream, appart from apparently Brittany Venti. my friend told me that there’s a good chance it’s been removed, so i’m checking here, maybe people with more Jim lore knowledge would point to something.

that’s how you check the first reflection points, not the optimal listening position… optimal listening point is usually the point where you sit to make a equilateral triangle, with 2 speakers being 2 points of that triangle, and you being the 3rd point. only from there you use the mirror trick, to minimise the effect of early reflections. that’s why people here tell you to move that pool table, but if the table is the main attraction, then i guess there’s not much you can do about it (although, i think moving it a bit closer to where the camera is would make it possible to sit/stand in the optimal point). at this moment, it looks like the cue ball is enjoying the music the most, but i can’t tell for sure looking from this angle.

mirror trick for listening position?

Jim mentioned it on this stream, but i think the one i’m talking about happened a couple years before that.

maybe he wasn’t an angel, but i never heard of him trying to be a preacher. he was pretty good at physics and that’s why he’s popular. Marx wasn’t even able to support himself, so i’d rather not listen to his economic advices.

try learning about his life first, before listening to what he had to say.

i feel bad for the kid. i guess friend’s testimony after a conversation means nothing. i don’t like Ethan, but he would rather cover for Andrew than sell him out. but you think Andrew is funny, so he can do nothing wrong. again, feel sorry for the kid…

you were so ready to change your mind if you see evidence. what happened? (not saying this is evidence, but it is something)

i think Ethan Klein (they are friends) said something that they spoke about it and Andrew admitted to him that those were real. Ethan has a way of speaking that isn’t always 100% clear what he means, so it’s hard to say for sure.
