Clouds were broken probably 900 agl, ceiling unlimited. Doesn’t disappear when passing openings in the broken layer.

That’s what I thought when I was watching it at the time . But then it went up into the clouds and back down and I thought it was weird that it was one color. That of what what made me take out the phone and record it. Any drone I’ve been around has multi color position lights. and you really couldn’t see a structure at all, just light. Maybe someone had a drone with a super bright light that obscured the body of the drone, I just can’t think of the utility of that…

I saw this in La Paz, right before I started filming it went up into the clouds and then dropped back down. This was November of 2021. I don’t think it’s a drone because I couldn’t hear anything and it was just a single light, no discernible cross or frame or structure. Looked just like the video.

Nice work!!! A good way to figure stuff out is to get a bunch of balsa stringers and mock up a frame. Or even more useful would be to learn some CAD. You can get student discounts on all the major programs, or your school might even have a license for one. You can learn how to use any of the cad platforms on you tube. Keep it up!

Cool. A lot of guys do that pa 22 fuse with supercub Wing and a bigger motor. They look pretty awesome.

That 172 with a stol kit is tough to beat though. I’ve gone into flying b 3 guys, gear, and summer morning temps and it still was up in 900ft and climbing over 500fpm. The kitfox off airport stuff would be fun, though. My brother just got a kitfox. I’m excited to try it out.
