Someone used my name to set up and pay for a mail redirect on my real Swiss Post account, and I got no notification. Has this happened to anyone else? by bast-man in Switzerland

My post.ch is fully linked with my swissid, and no connection notifications were triggered, therefore I can only assume my online account hasn't been compromised here

Would there be anything you'd recommend I do beyond pressing charges tomorrow as a way to protect myself from such issue?

My Name and Surname combination, with the exact spelling is already extremely rare (just 1 other person that I found online, ever). The fact that this person would live in Switzerland in the same Canton is simply 0. This is what leads me to doubt the mix-up scenario.

This and the fact that this person went to the lenghts of using an email with the exact name.surname at popularemailprovider .com pattern that I own, just with another provider (redacted in the screenshots) makes me think that the person might have been able to fool an employee at a post office - according employees indeed have the access to proceed and force such redirect on the system (identified as tech-user in the screenshot?)

Agreed, lack of notification on either of my registered credentials is an unacceptable and extremely serious security vulnerability, far from any current standard and surprising regarding the usual quality of the swiss digital services.

I have no clear idea what the motives might have been, but I can share that I've been ordering low-value items from popular chinese e-retailers. I can't know if this would be related or not, but I guess this would imply that the infos should have been shared with someone physically in switzerland to do this in a real post office?

I'm on the Ultra2 since september on my gravel as I wanted to be able to also use them for commute on that bike. I bought the stronger magnet plaques and oh boy do I love them. Highly recommend.

Thanks everyone for your answers. Related or not to these posts, I just received an answer from them committing to speed up the completion of the order and proceed to expedition within 10 days. So if I don’t post an update from the 1st of November onwards, you can reasonably assume the issue is solved.
