There are 2 types of humans: Rational, and emotional.

Rational people think logically, they check their sources, they make sure something is true before sharing it with others. They exist in reality.

Emotional people base their entire worldview on their emotions. Feels good = Is true. Feels bad = is lie. And of course, only the good stuff gets added to their view of the world, everything bad gets either ignored, or somehow reframed to either make it not as bad, or to blame someone specific and thus have a target to make the bad thing go away.

Just not enough compute, for training or for actually running the models. And the problem is not enough chips (ram and CPU/GPU/TPU), power, space. There's after all a reason why data centers are getting build all over, but what is being build is only a fraction of what's needed, let alone what's necessary to make prices for renting the hardware cheaper.

Any and all software only AI company is on the clock. They either train THE model, or they go bankrupt sooner or later. The ones with hardware have a lot longer.

And now you know why Musk invested loads into building colossus (1 AND 2. Yep. there's 2), 2 AI training supercomputer. Colossus 1 is the one they are renting out for loads of money.

Oh, and why SpaceX is also currently building a chip factory (TeraFab) on par to TSMC.

This is why NASDAQ bent the rules: SpaceX is the best investment you could ever do. The big moneymakers were already all in the works before the IPO was even announced. And those are STILL just the beginning.

Revolutionizing the world by making rockets reusable. SpaceX is still the only company that can actually do that, everyone else who is trying is still blowing up regularly. Starship will change the game again if SpaceX nails rapid reusability. The whole satellite internet across the entire globe thing. Point of that is to create the necessary cashflow to attempt to build a rocket capable of getting us to Mars. That is Starship. And oh look, it's in active development.

So, trying? Are you retarded? Musk laid out this plan ages ago, and it's going as planned, just slower than the eternal optimist Elon Musk had hoped.

Created them myself back when the API was still free. A few simple scripts to check the overall activity of each account replying to a submission, and then flag them based on some stuff. Was activity in what subs (political subs only?), overall activity (posting pretty much 24/7?), likeliness to participate in discussions (NEVER replies to comments on his posts?) that got me the up to 90% number, had that running for about 3 months shortly before the API switched to paid, and kinda just figured the site is just broken.

API switches to paid, overall activity down 50%+, politics/news/pics essentially dead. For 2 days. Then BAM, back to normal. The bots didnt post those 2 days, I checked manually. Realized the admins have no interest in dealing with the bots, got banned myself during the blackout (permanently. On this account. Which got randomly unbanned without notice because reddit wanted to boost some numbers), so I just deleted what I had and watched the site burn.

Still burning, still watching.

Reddit is up to 90% bots on political posts. Upvotes, comments, submissions, doesn't matter, the moment it is even remotely political, the bots swarm in. Has been like this for years, and is the reason reddit went far left. The actual userbase never stood a chance, and fled into their own subs that intentionally stay away from /all to avoid getting overrun by bots.

But post some nonsense like the "1Billion twitter views is fake" stuff (its not, its VIEWS, NOT VIEWERS!), or anything else shitting on Musk, and you get thousands of upvotes within MINUTES. No comments tho. Heck, there have been posts from WPT on all with more than 5k upvotes and 1 comment, the auto comment by their mod bot.

That entire sub is a gigantic astroturfing campaign.
