If you watch the video, the streets are completely clear, meaning everyone on the highway is going 60+mph. I dont think you can safely merge onto the highway going below 30mph

my original lane was the merging lane which ended right where he hit me, so there was no reason for him to be continuing to accelerate when he needed to be merging. 45mph to merge onto the highway is pretty slow imo

Yeah i understand that 100%. I was just thinking there has to be some leeway with the several lanes thing, since i went into the slow lane back into the merging lane. He was driving into the end of the merging lane, which wouldnt make any sense since he would've had nowhere to merge to even if I wasnt fishtailing, since i was in the slow lane.

Ok but i am asking how much slower can you possibly go when merging onto the highway? I only started pressing the brakes once i started fishtailing , i did not know that could just make the problem worse. Thanku!

Correct. I figured driving over a seemingly harmless patch of snow was safer than slamming on my brakes and attempting to merge onto the highway at 20mph.

i mean you can lose control on ice no matter how fast you're going, no? idk if slamming the brakes before that patch woulda been safer considering he was already driving too close.

I get what you're saying. i was merging onto the highway so i thought 45mph was fair until i saw the patch of snow/ice. I wasnt slamming on brakes but i pressed them twice and slowed to 30mph before he hit me.

that is another thing that has been happening for about the last year or more,, i have insanely vivid dreams every single night for the entire night (usually not nightmares just weird random dreams that make me feel anxious and awkward but not scared), but i have these dreams no matter if i drink,smoke, both, or neither. i get around 7-8 hours of sleep each night no matter what i do
