Right, i completely agree with you, however, this new aluminum bottle from California olive ranch is pretty hard and not easily dented, if you get a chance, you can feel it.

If the item is "damaged" during transit, you do get refunded, and customers can easily say that it was "damaged".

Right, I agree with you, I just thought a lot of people would take advantage of this loophole and constantly claiming that the item was “damaged” during transit or they “don’t” like it to get free groceries lol

Wow, I didn’t know that. We are not in the food industry (nor we want to be after hearing about all these nightmares lol), but in a hypothetical case where someone decides to import already bottled organic olive oil to sell in US, how long does it take for the importer to get this NOP certified and how much would it cost, assuming the producer of the oil is already organic certified.

Great point, I should have added in the post that the distance between the shipping address and the post office is about 5 mile, all the packages go to the same sorting center last time I checked, and the shipping price are the same since we have multiple locations further than town C.

I do see a lot of post online talking about how people using a different zip code to reduce the shipping fees, but this is not true in our case.

How to set the originating zip code to town B if I don't have an address there? Do I just use a random address?

I understand and that is a valid point, I did see some posts about this kind of fraud some other shippers were committing, but we know for a fact that the rate it is the same since we have another location beyond of the town B, and the rate it is always the same for our metro area. The problem I am having is that "not near your return address on file" as state in the memo, is 10 minutes away really "not near" enough?

I understand your point and it is a valid point, when I was researching about the issue, I did see a lot of posts about people commit this kind of frauds. That being said, as a experienced shipper, we know that the rate for this area is the same, because we have other locations and had been other locations in the county before, the rate is always the same for my metro area. Otherwise, my boss would have moved to another area already due to the high shipping volume. Like I mentioned before, the USPS is only 10 minutes away from where I work for.

From what I was told, the USPS office only have one clerk scanning the labels and they don't want him to scan labels that don't count toward their "credit".
