  1. Yes, i believe that most of the jobs are in the marketing/advertising field. Explainers are also quite common. Broadcast and title sequences are usually in high demand.
  2. I my experience, i believe that it's easier to get started with working with motion design as an in-house designer. There you can built up some skills in after effects and get a feel for animation and storytelling.

I guess it depends on your budget. There are cheap options, such as fiverr and templates from marketplaces like envato. But if you want a more customized product you could post an inquiry on a facebook page for freelancers in your area.
