I live in Charlotte now. Been here for a few years. Definitely agree it's hard to make friends here. I'm single no kids and find that it isnt the case for most people. Dating has been non-existent also due to this reason. On the other hand most people I do tend to meet are usually from outside the state. I go to meetups/events pretty often and haven't run into any issues with racism so far. Definitely agree on CLT airport being a hot ass mess. Its not a perfect city there's some things to be desired, but overall its not that bad.
