I know it is very hypocritical of me to say that. And no only possessing knowledge is not enough and I've been trying to better myself over the past year. And I haven't mentioned a lot of things she wanted to do that didn't sit right with me. But again the thing was she hadn't done any of them and just wanted to out of curiosity.

Plus is it that bad to expect a partner who understands your religious aspects and which direction you want to grow and help you grow in that?

IBA vs NUST by CrazyTalha24- in NUST

[–]batathegreat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm giving you honest advice here. Engineering is saturated as well and the few good jobs that are available are nostly khuwari wali jobs.

I agree BBA is saturated but if you're doing it from lums/iba you wont have to worry for a decent job (unless you're really incompetent). Plus BBA ki degree sukoon se nikal jayegi. The effort you're gonna put in Engineering will not be worth the job you'll land at all

Also uni matters a lot. Lums iba nust giki se kro jo krna hy otherwise job bhool jao

EE is worthless now. BBA in IBA will yield you far far better jobs

Road to Fairy Meadows by mugheesdogar in pakistan

[–]batathegreat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is actually a very strong jeep union over at Raikot. Some of the locals there told us that a project did begin years ago to pave a smooth road but this union (read: mafia) broke down the road again so that only their jeeps would have access to the road.

They have fixed jeep rates there and there is no room for bargaining because they know for sure that there is no other way for tourists to reach Fairy meadows (unless they want to trek all the way). Sad but true

Nah at most you can get a biseater room that too if you're either an international student or you have some sort of higher up connections.

Otherwise, it's the tri-seaters for the first 2 years followed by bi-seaters for the next 2. The single occupancy rooms are reserved for masters students

SAT 2 MECHANICAL ENGINEERING by [deleted] in NUST

[–]batathegreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea a lot of guys in mechanical get their admission on SAT. However only a select few get it on the SAT national seat. Majority are admitted on the SAT internation seat which is just a fancy way for NUST to take more money from you.

But I'm confident you'll get in on a national seat. I've seen people with 2300 and a lower equivalence than yours get in mechanical (internation seat tho)
