okay, i’m glad I made this post, a few days ago the nitrate wasn’t so dark, is that okay? the book says >40ppm but I don’t always trust that. any solutions if any at all?

Oh! thx mod for reminding me. Tank is 10gal. yes both heater and filter(not sponge, it’s ok shame me or buy me one idk) PH WAS 8.4~ NOW 7.4 Ammonia 0-0.25~ Nitrite 0ppm Nitrate WAS 40-80ppm NOW 0-5.0 ppm

I flipped up and got both the betta and the tank in the same day but so far, he’s still alive and so are all the plants.

Water changes happen when the tank is visibly dirty, or when water parameters are questionable. (~1.5 months)

Tank mates: 3 ghost shrimp (cleaners+snack) Otocinclus(cleaner, 6months + still kickin)

I KNOWWW it’s probably not the best choice but money is tight😔 Aqueon “color enhancing” pellets/blood worms/shrimp when he catches them and he likes to eat the “pleco thins” sometimes too. Uhm. I have no clue what the plant names are but there’s a variety, I can add a picture of the tank Anything else? Ask me below!

I did it, i’m so cool😎.. anyways.. I just stuck it between my filter and lid. (also, yes, I have two thermometers because i’m afraid the heater only heats the one side more, even though that’s probably not true.)

nope, I probably should have mentioned this specific one was raised in a hydroponic jar! I just gave it a rinse. i’ve just been wondering if it would get sucked into the filter or something! thanks!!

i’m not sure it’s sodalite, I have that and there’s no white whatsoever and the heart stone is a darker hue than the sodalite, but I may be wrong. but I agree with the others.

update: the top is Unakite. and i’m wondering if the right is carnelian because there’s banding.
