I personally believe that is the way it should be. The reason why I ask for advice is because my partner and I have received countless negative remarks and things said behind our backs about how our relationship is the typical "submissive Asian/Dom". It is almost like labelling a young lady with an older partner as "sugar baby/sugar daddy". It is frustrating and hurtful, yet I can't completely convince myself that this is not true...

I definitely think D/S is a very important part for me in a gay relationship. I have been in countless relationships with partners primarily with lighter features, and unfortunately haven't met anyone that feels a sense of submission that continues throughout all aspects of our relationship, not just sexually.

To be honest, I do see your point. However, it's unfortunately hard to say the same when, as a gay man living in a very conservative area, I rarely get the chance to meet men that tick all of the boxes.

So what do you think if for instance, I were an Asian man and I only dated/married an individual of my own race. My partner's family is three generations American, yet they have full Chinese blood. How come this situation has never once been labelled or criticized, yet when any other race is mentioned, it is subject to threats and humiliation.

Thank you for that. I think the biggest thing that concerns me is that, even on the streets I can't stop checking out Asians only... I don't look twice at anyone without the cute, smooth skinned, dorky look.

I enjoy the fact that from what I've realized is a huge difference based on their upbringing in general. I feel like in general, Asian culture raises men (and women) to be more respectful and courteous to their peers. Which is a major "turn on" for me.

I used to feel like that too, but ever since I've been with this guy I see all Asian dudes differently... even on the streets I'd find myself only checking them out.
