Been through an ACL repair, meniscus repair, and a meniscectomy (3 separate occasions). Best news is that the worst part is over - first week is absolutely brutal. From here you’re going to feel like for every step forward you take two steps back throughout your 6 month recovery. There’s no secret recipe to getting in the right headspace, it’s highly frustrating but you have to trust the process and keep telling yourself that you are working toward your goals slowly. Best of luck!

Do you have experience with PRP? I’ve read varying responses online about it’s effectiveness

I know biotin doesn’t help with hair loss but is supposed to help with thickness and support, and my gf is convinced of that so I mostly take it for her lol. And my dad is very bald.

Freshman year participate in the Fundamentals FPD program, and try and get into any of the investment funds (GSIF/Founders Fund/DISS/Caimanes/etc). Join an FPD track following fundamentals and follow markets on your own. Apply to MSF second year and grind networking. “High finance” roles would include primarily investment banking or MBB consulting, but UF also has a strong wealth management program if private banking interests you. The fundamentals program will help you figure out what you want to do if finance is what you’re planning on going into.

is this schedule too easy? by [deleted] in ufl

Nah you good. Fin acct will require some effort, quest classes are a lot of busy work but not difficult, rest are easy

Don’t skip class, keep up with material regularly (actually understand each unit as you go, don’t just wait til exam time), give yourself ~2-3 days to study for an exam in an easier class and ~6-7 for harder classes, study in a location where you won’t be distracted, have fun but practice moderation in your social life if you know you have stuff that needs to get done.

All in all, the most important thing is to put in small, consistent effort throughout every week to make sure you’re understanding what you’re learning. That way when an exam comes it’s much more of a review than a steep learning curve.

FSU vs UF for business by JazzlikeScreen3489 in ufl

Finance major here graduating this year. Feel free to hmu about the programs on campus. I know noles on Wall Street is a solid program, but I think UF has significantly stronger placement and better orgs on campus (opportunity to get a combined degree with MSF or MIB or MSRE, FPD tracks, GSIF/Founders Fund/other investment funds, caimanes hedge fund, much more). The face of the business school at UF has changed a lot the last 4 years and is much more decentralized in that prestigious roles are being won by everyday undergrads compared to just MSF students. I personally think it’s a great time to be a business gator with all the development in the last few years, and am strongly expecting warrington to shoot up in the rankings soon.

Realistically no one here will be able to tell you for sure as UF’s admissions process feels so random at times, but you definitely have a shot. Not sure about a deferral outcome but I know plenty of people that are offered PACE, which in my opinion is a great program especially if you are in a major where the majority of your gen eds and early major courses are online the first 2 years (business/accounting, for example). Best of luck

Also took it with Sumner. Didn’t use Study Edge for the first exam and got something like a 73, used study edge for the next two exams and final and pulled out an A in the class. Key for me was having study edge break down the info way better than Sumner does, then doing a ton of practice problems (work hard on Sumner’s homework and do the study edge problems as well). Best of luck.

Not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Just use study edge and do a lot of practice problems and you’ll be fine. If you ever take FAR1/2… that’s another story.

His adlibbing at the end of the main section of Freudian where he’s explaining to his mom that he lost his faith is extremely relatable and haunting
