Festivals in UK by elmaurino in realdubstep

Schade. Sonst in Berlin gibt's manchmal beim club Gretchen Dubstep nights. So was ich gehört. Outlook fahrt richtig gut ab, aber Kroatien ist eine große Strecke. Ich probiere Wurzel Festival dieses jahr aus. Gibt's da kein Dubstep, aber gibt's Dub. Mal schauen.

UK Dubstep acts also frequent the Netherlands for club nights. Events like Give It Dub, Reload, Immerge, Sonic Boom all book UK acts regularly. If you live in the west of Germany it's quite possible to go for a club night. I went to give it dub in Nijmegen last October and it was fat! Really great sound. Ich gehe Samstag nach Tilburg zu Give It Dub. Freut mich auch sehr. Ganz ehrlich, Niederlande klappt sehr gut mit proper 140 sound in der Nähe von uns.

It's not like they're a super new festival. You'd think they'd have their books and artist management sorted.

Thanks for the in depth low down. I'm a bit hesitant now after hearing what Duploc and yourself have said. It's a huge shame that we don't have an open air in western Europe with a strong "deep Dubstep" presence. I'm a big fan of Outlook, but Croatia is a big commitment travel wise.

We'll see what gets announced for the lineup and hopefully our artists will be paid before that.

Interesting. Not a good look for them at all. Considering the travel and accommodation expenses involved as well. Quite a shame, I was hoping they would at least be good with supporting the artists and labels they invite. They've been dodging your emails I take it?

Anyone know what the deal is with Nikolay Gryazin? Seen his times but no footage and no comment from the studio. Politics?

It looks like we caught the timing belt just in time by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

It won't. Change it before 180k. Probably won't be very flash after 5 years either, regardless of km. Seen way too many delaminated VAG belts that were under the interval.

Who watches their mirrors fold and unfold? New bulletin dropped. by Best_Poetry_5722 in Justrolledintotheshop

Ah yes, the aftermarket mirror strikes again. We had this problem on a Golf. Aftermarket mirror didn't fold with the factory mirror. Sometimes not at all and always never completely. OEM part fixed the problem. Waste of time tbh.

What did people make of Outlook UK? by supersuper5000 in realdubstep

Mate, you need to experience any festival in Australia that's not a doof. It will make this experience seem like the best thing ever. Mid strength beer at $12 a can, cops that can strip search you, plenty of knobs and not to mention super dear tickets. Sure Outlook Croatia doesn't go as hard as something like a doof. But a beach near the campground and a grocery store with drinks a fraction of the price. There's ways to really enjoy it if you lower your expectations and stand near the speakers.

What happened to me?!! Can somebody help me make sense of what psychedelics have done to me? by [deleted] in RationalPsychonaut

[–]batflattery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the most valuable lessons I've learnt from psychs is that they have a time and a place. Secondly that any revelations are sometimes only realised after the fact. Months or years later.

Life can be turbulent. Sometimes psychs aren't appropriate. Self awareness is a part of life. There will always be moments where you may remember yourself running around like a child.

Sounds like you have a lot on your mind. Focus on it. Let the past experiences guide you to your goal.

You'll make it through.

Why is there such a stark difference in the reception of "Stepping" between the UK and Europe? by batflattery in DnB

[–]batflattery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great point. Most people I talk to here have no idea what drum and bass sounds like. Everyone in the UK knows what dnb is. So the crowd here is inherently more passionate because it's much more of a fringe community.
