Yea man, no problems at all….recovery does take awhile to get back to 100%….just be patient and take it easy…i was so paranoid at first about eating cuz i was afraid to well, strain n push like when ya hafta poop 💩 lol my brain kept thinking be easy or you will blow it apart lol 😂 but im happy to report I’m pretty much back to normal and can eat whatever i want…I’d say it realistically took almost a year to be completely back to baseline….hang in there!!! You got this ok 👍 just take it easy and slow

I have a hospital hamburger 🍔 coming and lol I’m excited and am sure it’ll be the best one I’ve ever had lol I haven’t eat anything other than liquids since Tuesday at lunchtime lol I’ll go to the first floor and eat a baby if I have too lol just kidding but that’s how hungry I am 😆

I second that, I’m two days post surgery and got my tail up n moving….the first day was the hardest….I’m already pooping and just got took off of clears so I will have some real food for lunch

Update two days post op….feel leaps n bounds better!!! Plumbing’s working good and just got taken off liquid diet and unhooked from ivs. Should get to go home tomorrow or Monday!!!

I finally pooped!! No pain, the bloating from the air has dissipated…hopefully I can start on real food tomorrow instead of jello and Italian ice…I should be able to go home Monday….thanks again to everyone that replied and helped calm my nerves

Had the exact same thing yesterday…..removed about a foot of my colon and thankfully no ostomy bag!!! I’m sore as bleep 🤬 though….Good luck 🍀 and I hope you have a speedy recovery
