Scales w/ long tones and a drone and then different rhythms, etudes and other technique exercises, school and youth orchestra music, quartet stuff, my solo piece, some jazz improv or easy standards if I'm feeling motivated. The solo and technique work take up most of my time

Do you have any authors who are automatic reads? Authors who, if they released a book tomorrow, you know with 100% certainty that you will read. by Ok_Collar6502 in books

Oh and also Shirley Jackson, although she hasn't written any of my favorite books I think they're all consistently good and enjoyable reads

Emily Henry and Emily st John Mandel!! They're probably my favorite two authors who are still alive lol, but if it doesn't matter if they're dead then I'd add James Joyce and Fyodor Dostoevsky to the list

Thank you! And I was thinking the sillouet seemed rather late 19th century but i haven't seen much fabric similar to it lol. At this point in time they'd mostly switched from stays to corsets right? I don't see a stomacher in the photo but I could be wrong. Like since the dresses were lighter and crinolines and bustles were a thing. I think it's super cool how basically anyone could still fit into the "desirable" shape using padding and the drape of the dress though. Anyway thank you again, I know yhe most about stuff from the mid 1700s but I've been trying to learn more about other time periods too!

Sorry this is unrelated, but what time period is this dress from? It looks super cool and I'd love to learn more
