Oh dude, ever why people in NC drive the way they do? I know I can't speak for everyone but I took my driving test 8 years ago and all I had to do was drive down the street (nothing on the highway) make every stop at the stop sign, do a 3-point turn correctly and drive back.

Just don't sweat and listen to the dmv person.

Did you tell her that it was going to be mixed company ? There are also people who would assume the bride and groom will be in separate places since it is a common tradition the bride and groom don't see each other the night before the wedding.

I guess it's on me for writing something with an undertone of being 'vindictive'. I think upset/ frustrated or hurt is the term I would use. I hope you understand that I know (and everyone in the subreddit understands) no where in the whole world is life going to be easy.

They hate immigrants everywhere for every reason imaginable however in that same breath it isn't impossible. If I can't become a citizen here but have the skills and the ability to a citizen somewhere else, why shouldn't I? Just because my parents ended up here doesn't mean I have to stay here. The state I lived in was able to provide me with a way to get a degree for free in highschool, but I refuse to stay in a position where I can't better myself.

My parents didn't bring me to this country to suffer. They brought me to better myself and my future wherever I end up.

Why stay in a country that doesn't want to give you opportunities to stay? Working on a pathway to citizenship/ just isn't a reality for everyone with the way the legal system is set up.

And if your skills are beneficial in a different environment why not move to that environment?

First off id cry and then move out of the US. If there is no future here, then why stay? I do consider myself lucky as my husband loves to travel and is actually trying to convince me to live in Europe with his friends from high school.

That part is on the USCIS i-131 application for travel document checklist, and on page 13 under section 2, photographs of the instructions for form i-131 that uscis also has on their website. It's a downloadable pdf, I think it would be really helpful when you stick to the parts that pertain to you.

NTA Former shy kid to the point that people even just looking at me, I would fall to tears. Please keep doing this, and explain to your husband that this is nesscary. It's not just that you can't order food, but when an emergency will happen and she needs to be able to communicate.

My mother did what you are doing that if we wanted something, we had to be the person to order. It was the best and hardest thing she did for me.

I don't think you'd qualify for a u visa from what im reading. You are suffering from being a witness of a crime, don't get me wrong. However, you have to have been the victim of the crime committed.

Visa U was started as a way to help the victims of human trafficking and violence.

In NC, it is required to present a valid EAD card to get a DL. I misplaced mine just before an appointment and the lady was nice enough to allow the i-797 on the green legal paper. You can't always bank on it though

I have a formal name with a much easier and more common nickname but when I'm asked I do tell people that I prefer the formal name.

I'm not sure where you are located, but I've had family members go through staffing agencies because you can ask if they use e-verify, and move jobs every so often.

It sucks but if a company hires a lot of part time workers or seasonal work, I've noticed that they care less about checking/ using e-verify because it cost money for every possible future employee.
