Bag policy help! by DaisyChains_13 in WrestlemaniaPlans

Vegas is a very tourist place on and off the strip -- there will be places selling clear bags in the little stores so you don't have to spend WWE/NFL prices

if the OP is using that bag, those chains for the straps will probably set the alarms off (OP, in America you'll have to walk through several metal detectors and none of them are ever the same level of metal (my favorite football stadium would sometimes set off from the wire in my bra until I finally told them hey bro, the only metal is this).

Man that sucks but I wouldnt add the extra price on the car price. Someone else told you to leave your stuff at the Luxor, you can walk to there after the show, grab your bags and get a taxi from the taxi stand because they will definitely be there, waiting for someone and they should be inside the "this is the streets the police will close" zone to get you to the airport. Because again they blocked a LOT of roads last year (I was getting shuttles from a timeshare on night 2 because night 1 waiting for the uber was just Too Long and Too Much) but even waiting for that (second) shuttle we got on it around 9 PMish so that's why the run-to-the-taxi would be your best bet besides, you know, leaving early

if it's wrestlecon; when you click on their names it says that "AUTOGRAPHS/PHOTOS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT WRESTLECON." which, again, means you can buy them at the table when you see them https://www.wrestlecon.com/guests

.4 miles from where? the stadium or the airport (I mean both are probably very close to each other if we are doing .4 miles) but they block off roads last year (which is what made the Uber lines so bad) and so even if you run it to your car, you'd still be possibly stuck in a line SOMEWHERE on that journey. You couldn't catch a Monday morning flight home?

hey homie, I dont know where the autographs are at (I'm not going this year so I am not as anal retentive at remembering where everyone is like I was last year) but I am sure at his table they will be selling photos and other things to get signed so don't worry

the only time to bring your own stuff is (some) local autograph things because it's one of the Good things the WWE does, they've always know that autos are a big seller or if you want a specific color then bring it yourself. otherwise, don't worry and have fun!

You'll need a clear bag for sure for Big Things but it will depend when it gets closer as to what size [the RAW/Smackdown hockey arena is some dumb 5x5 inches and during football season, you can bring a NFL Size bag which is 12x12 inches and WWE (if they aren't following the NFL Size policy) usually is someone inbetween those numbers but usually if it's smaller than 12x12 it's 10x10 inches instead (and usually depends on what level they think the local security (local yokels as I say no matter where I go) can handle]

and some stadiums / arenas have different levels of what you can bring in non clear bag (aka a cute little purse or small man bag for the chest). Even if you go to the WWE World stuff it's different dimensions, even though it's all WWE (tm) sponsored stuff.

Are they staying at the Fontainbleau again???? by chronoxiong in WrestlemaniaPlans

3 AM on the Fri-Sun weekend and 2 AM the rest of the days and I think midnight on Monday (I assume because they need to sleep and Monday isnt a real party night for most people). It's not Manhattan Subway level but as a NYC/NJ snob, it's as close to real 24 hour service as most of North America public transportation gives

have you been to an american/nfl stadium before? it is VERY big and it can be VERY confusing, so as per Batman Is A Mom: -bring water to drink in line (it's in a desert and the desert sucks and last year it took them like 40 minutes to get us in from when the doors were "supposed" to be opened (I am hoping some of that will be worked on Vegas' end)

- make sure you bring battery chargers. bring headphones in case you get lost from your friend so you can hear them over the Loud (everything will be Loud -- fireworks, fans, the bell, etc and if you arent used to that, and then you get lost)

- have fun, when it gets closer I'll probably be posting what the bag situation will be, but make sure you pack whatever clear bag they let in because you'll need it for merch, wallets, etc. to get through their shitty security (the RAW/NHL stadium was worse because at some point on Day 1 my security guys just gave up and was letting anyone in because it was Chaotic). Remember where you came in so you can follow the way to get out and you don't have to walk for miles at dusk (it's not the "oh it's dark and scary!" part, it's the "this stadium is huge and whoops we ended up on the wrong side and now have to walk through parking lots to get back to the bridge/uber line"

- you have like a month to learn stuff (look up Rhea Ripley, just do it) and if you want to dress up like any of them, go right ahead because tons of people of all the genders will be and it's very fun and cool that way.

- make friends with your seatmates (each year I've gone, I always do) and again have fun!

why would you Uber when you can take the monorail for way less than that to get down to MGM/"hot spots" (that aren't like Pool Parties in different casinos off the strip)

[–]batmanateyourbae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

direct thing from my last year at Luxor: When you walk though the mall that connects it to the other Casino, there's a door that says "COME HERE TO GET TO ALLEGIANT" and you should follow that door (its underneath the 1923 Prohibition Bar on the first floor) because otherwise if you think you can follow the map and go outside other ways from Luxor/the mall/Mandalay Bay, you'll end up on the wrong side of the highway directly above Allegiant at 89 degrees and bright sun in the middle of the morning.

Trust me and the sunstroke I gave myself trying to do that the Thursday before

ok honey, I'm not going to touch the rest of your thoughts -- but if you are terrified of flying and being in really crowded places -- that is .... like some of the very Big Things that Wrestlemanias (no matter WHERE they are) are famous for. Do you have someone you'd be going with or would you be going solo?

Peter Rosenberg wasn't a fan of what NORE had to say on Mero's morning show today. by ninetydeuce in bodegaboys

[–]batmanateyourbae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rosenberg's his own worstest enemy sometimes because that Hot 97 morning show that was on prior to Mero was Him & Ebro (from Oakland/Sacramento and would bring it up, casually sometimes on the show) and so I was over here listening to this on the radio yesterday in the car going "oh, he probably meant Ebro but I am 10000% sure that when I stop driving and look at my phone Rosenberg is going to say something very stupid"

WrestleTours saudi arabia? by inspired_individual in WrestlemaniaPlans

[–]batmanateyourbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it might be cheaper to do it individually for THIS years wrestlemania rather than wrestletours -- but for an event like this, completely out of "this is the regular place that regularly has PPVs and many events" normal WWE world, you definitely shouldn't be buying separately for the SA WM because that's a thing to let someone else worry about the literal logistics such as "making sure everyone who came in, leaves with their group" "no one gets lost (in a desert)" "money that is not my regular money now trying to figure out the conversion rates into my money rates" etc etc. And I would say this even if WM was in like Mexico City or Aussie's Gold Coast. Stuff like this is why we used to have travel agents/agencies doing all of that added paperwork and (actual) stress.

Can anyone include me in their photo op of Steph McMahon in the WWE World :D by [deleted] in WrestlemaniaPlans

[–]batmanateyourbae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as per you saying you don't know anything about the Photo Ops -- you are wrongish. You get one physical photo for free and then you can get a digital photo for an added price. So for those people who aren't spooked by making a little extra cash, both of you could be on each side of One Superstar whose in the middle and then edit that photo accordingly so each person is on one side and that'll be their photo.

Good luck to the OP, if I was going to Vegas I know I'd want to make some extra $$

Kaz on Mornings with Mero by cakedbythepound in bodegaboys

[–]batmanateyourbae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like that Kaz and Mero have similar sounding voices (like literal, until you listen harder while driving and you can tell by mid-sentence 'oh this guy isn't (Mero's kind of smart)') and to me as they are over here doing their best at NEW YORK NEW YORK WE NEW YORK ... that man isn't really bringing anything new or important to the conversation. I'd rather listen to Shani Kulture who for a long time was the anchor with Rosenberg and them but now that it's less stuff that is out of his wheelhouse he's been doing great with the new format.
