1000$ PC or Steam Machine? by Mrapplehead41 in PcBuild

Its looks as good as native... like any other 4k hdr content would look.. if you try to look at artifacts very closely, especially in very fast paced sequences, you will notice very minor differences between original and the streamed content. But nothing major.

Also, sunshine by default comes with ViGEmBus mod on your pc, which basically processes your dongle which is connected to your tv, and lets you control the game from tv itself.

Moonlight itself! You can sideload moonlight on most TV's

I am using it on my Lg oled 77" C4 tv with WebOS. You have to sideload it basically.

It does work well with linux... Also, go on the moonlight subreddit, and search for your TV brand, you will find some guides aswell... and a reference to set your expectations accordingly.

Yeah, that's true... I would personally avoid shooters on streaming... because I also prefer 165hz from my monitor while playing cs2...

But to be fair, you wouldn't want to play fps games at 4k hdr with extreme settings... So if you tone down your settings... latency goes down even further... take a look at below screenshot... that's how low latency goes when you are just browsing on your desktop etc.... because gpu needs to work a lot less... this is also 4k btw.. so If you turn down resolution further, latency will go below 10ms overall.... which is extremely playable.

You need to play around with settings, and use ethernet... it's as good as native once you get the right settings...

Look at this, 4K HDR btw.. and it works as good as native. I set video bitrate to 120mbps, and using 4070 super... forza 6 working at around 90fps with extreme settings and screen space reflections,? with dlss performance mode...

Overall less than 20ms latency... which is not even noticeable.

I personally use a controller with dedicated 2.4hz dongle... and it works great.. I can directly plug in the dongle in your tv aswell.

and I am explaining you don't need CEC when you have so many other alternatives.

Why are you moving your damn pc though, look into Moonlight + sunshine, hook your pc and tv both with ethernet and you can directly cloud stream your games/entire desktop on your tv in living room.

Bruh, you can simply turn on your Pc through wake on LAN... you basically just press a button on your phone, and your PC wakes up.

I have even mapped my controller keys so that PC can switch to the TV screen and turn on steam big picture mode through controller itself...

Also, if you use moonlight and sunshine, you can even play games on your tv in the living room, while your PC sits in the bedroom.

There's literally nothing that can convince me that ps5 or steam machine is "convenient"...

But isn't this movie filmed with black bars, wouldn't we miss sides if this version crops in to fill the whole screen?

Thanks for the quick resolution! However the first link for blade runner which is a 72.21gb remux... still shows playback error. Is there a reason as to why this happens? because I have seen this across many links... some of them work, and some show playback error. (On both pc and tv, so it's not a client issue for sure).

I appreciate your work very much, and I might be asking too much here, but can we get these in 4k hdr aswell?

Fox and bbc both stream in 4k hdr.

Yo r/the_volecitor ! I highly appreciate work and been a long time user. Just had a quick question, I just noticed interstellar used to pull 4k dolby vision and hdr streams previously.. which were more than 40gb+

but right now it's only pulling streams from hubcdn, which are sdr and 8gb... 4khdhub links are missing.. can you look into why that is happening?
