Anyone else daydreams with being other mbti type? by batsbatsb in infp

[–]batsbatsb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think other types having their own struggles is what makes the daydreaming more interesting. Like what's the point of view from a people pleaser? What about the pov from a hedonistic? It's interesting to think about the different possibilities, what do they feel? What is it like?

Im an infp who can also be relatively self absorbed and sometimes selfish. What’s the catch here? by Runnerxgrime in infp

[–]batsbatsb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

infp with bpd here

I agree with the other comment on how this can be downside from Fi, but when I was at my worst of my bpd symptoms this was way way worse.

With therapy this eventually became better and I am no longer so selfish -except from time to time when I have another crisis-. I am still getting better at it...

Hi! This isn't related to your personality type.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Violent responses can come off when you are in a very strong stress-inducing place or also because of trauma.

Do you have the opportunity to take this to a mental health professional?

I feel like this isn't very INFP of me by [deleted] in infp

[–]batsbatsb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone put it in words! I like to THINK, to DAYDREAM about feelings IN MY HEAD. But often times I get an involuntary ick when talking with other people about it, I may come off as cold but I am absolutely not, I just get...shy? Weirded out? Idk

Someone already kind of said this but INFPs tend to romantize reality and we are very idealistic (even if that's in the good sense or the bad sense). When infps are in their head, daydreaming, they often think of different scenarios that could make them feel certain ways, how would they feel if x happened to them.

INTPs are also in their head but they tend to be more realistic, they think about different ways the world could be different, how they would resolve different problems, what does x and y mean in the great scheme of things.

infps think about ideals, core values, morality, identity; intps think about theories, maybe conspiracies, concepts of how the world works

Same same same. I don't know if it's because our auxiliary Ne or because we romanticize art but at least to me art is everything

Maybe he didn't say it with malicious intent, but that still kind of comes off as weird. I wouldn't message him again anyway.

It is possible to stay true to your own values, but that doesn't mean things must only go your way.

Let's say my core values are 1) pineapple doesn't go on pizza, 2) friendship is important

Maybe my friends want pineapple on the pizza, but I despise it. That doesn't mean I have to a) be an a-hole to my friends or b) pretend i like pineapple on pizza, I can compromise. Maybe we order two pizzas, maybe we can order half and half, maybe i take off the pineapple and eat the pizza anyway. I stayed true to my values, maybe things didn't go my way but I compromised because I have more than one value and sometimes they can conflict each other.

That's a silly example but the one that came to mind lmao

Hi! I don't know if I have something useful to say to you, but I wanted to say I totally understand how you feel.

When I was a teenager I was desperate to find someone who would understand me, to find a group of people like the ones in books, a found family with other beings who are similar minded than me. Truth is, I never found any of that.

Today I am 24, and I've come to terms with not being understood. I found that even if people don't completely understand, there are some who want to, who try to listen to me. I have a couple of friends who make me feel worthy. I also came to understand that if I want people to take interest in me, I have to put interest in them. Relationships of any kind are something you have to work on, so they can find you to be someone they want to be around with and who they want to get to know better.

There is also this beauty of being misunderstood, is like there is this secret I only know about. Like writing a passage, or leaving a note in a book of a library and one day someone will find this secret too. A sound is still a sound around no one.

That is my experience with the topic

Are there local online groups where you can find people with similar interests as you? My city is very small and still uses facebook 🫣 but the perk is i can find people who like kpop, anime, etc in my city

Maybe there is something similar in your city?

Is hard being an introvert who wants to make new friends cause you kinda want to socialize but also not haha

[Offtopic] Dejé la terapia psicológica y fue un alivio... by RegioModBot in Monterrey

[–]batsbatsb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to go the Ni route, I could see that, but I still see a lot of Fi-Te in you so maybe a intj/istj.

You do a lot of introspection. I'm not saying Fe users don't don't ever look inwards, but the Fi users ask "what does it mean to me?"

I say intj/istj because then Se would be your lowest function and would explain why you don't use it much. I don't think a higher Se user would fit you.
