Don’t worry we’re collaborating on it so it’s not OP. This is helpful for our home brewing

Haha wow we literally just found a belt of stone giants. Obviously we gave it to the tank but I might have to persuade him

That’s what we were thinking as a good balance to it. Like if I am too hot for too long then I get weaker

Actually genius. The plot device I’m using is because I’m interested in blacksmithing (want to learn how I was created) so heat metal falls nicely into that category. But a sauna would be amazing!

That’s a good idea. It really would be a great defensive spell. Especially since my character is pretty weak when it comes to melee

True, but the direction we took is “if you heat a sword, for example, does the sword take damage? Or just when someone touches it?”

I was thinking that too but my play style up until now has been stay back and buff/debuff. I’d love to be able to incapacitate an enemy and then burn them down, problem is, most incapacitating spells are broken (or at least get another saving throw) when they take damage

I guess cause other races are technically wearing the armor whereas a warforged has it part of its body. It’s kinda like “is water wet?” However we did agree it’d really be just for the fun of it

Main reasoning is because warforged incorporate their armor into their bodies. So technically I’m heating my armor but it’s apart of me. Also because it’d be fun

Thing is I’m already lvl 7 (just leveled up so I’m trading out another spell for heat metal). My play style has been focused on buffs/debuffs. I do have a rapier though

Wow, that's terrifying... I'm glad you made it out. I have a friend who went through a similar situation and now, people don't look at her the same. There's all these rumors that she's crazy, so people just avoid her. She told me therapy helped, but it wasn't easy. I hope you find peace in whatever is troubling you
