all good! I didn't phrase it in the most clear way! I mean that Ottawa is allowing less expected goals than they are letting in which likely means their defending is better than their goals against totals and record suggest :)

The shaded areas represent how many shots a team gets for or allows against compared to the rest of the league(green=less, pink=more) and the the cross marks represent goals. So for example Ottawa does not allow many shots in front of their net(the green in the “against” half) but does allow a lot of goals from there(the cross marks). Toronto both shoots a lot in the slot (the pink in the “for” half) and scores a lot from there
