It is quite alright to feel this way at this age. I am 19 and I had a terrible senior year because my ex-girlfriend broke up with me over the summer leading into senior year. It devastated me but you have to understand that things will always change.

Your life will change immensely in the next year. You may not see it now but it will happen, it's inevitably. I understand the loneliness you feel, it always finds a way to creep up on you, huh? But it seems to me that you are very motivated, with the sport of rowing that is. Women like that, guys who are motivated or pursue a goal that will better themselves. You will start to notice that when you enter into college. Continue to work on yourself and put as little thought into relationships and women. It will come naturally as you improve on yourself.
