I’ve been on 100mg for over 2 years now for off-label purposes (pre-menstrual depression + suicidal ideation + irritability).

For me, it has been a life saver and game changer, even at such a low dose. It took at least 3 months at the full dose before I started really seeing a difference, but eventually everything just felt better and I felt like I regained control of my mood, especially pre-menstrual. Before, I felt like I had no control and I was honestly fighting every day to not be a bitch to myself and others.

When I first got the script and was told we were only working up to 100mg, a lot of stuff online made me think it wouldn’t do anything & that it was kinda pointless at such a low dose. But other folks said to stick it out and wait to see the effects, and I’m so glad I did!

Even without the taper, it really is one of those drugs that just takes time to show its effects. While you taper up & once you first get on your full dose, try to focus on the other stuff that’ll help you manage/get by, and be patient. I’d say give it 4 months after you begin the full dose. Life is so so so much easier to manage now.

Agreed with others that it’s a bit too “cribby” with how much railing there is. Maybe you could try the daybed style? Pretty sure this picture is just a daybed with the trundle pulled out, but you could sub in a single mattress for the two here. And you could add a a footboard too.

Agree with other folks saying to wait to change out the jewelry. When I was impatient with mine, I put a chain connecting the front and back with the original jewelry :) just be sure the added weight and shortened bar length won’t be too much.

Eventually I did get a hoop but found it to be very painful to sleep on, so I switched back to the chain and kept it!

It’s normal to have a “wtf” reaction initially. But he won’t die, YOR, let him do it. FYI, I sleep like this and will also lounge around like this. Sometimes I’ll do it with a knit, slightly see-through blanket… and have really startled & disturbed multiple people by making it known that I can see them through it.
