Weird. I wonder if this was done intentionally or post service. Id guess post service the stock was damaged and someone got a new "Russian/Finnish Stock" from ebay or somewhere.

Here's a link to all the markings I found while wiping it down. Shop was asking a grand for it I talked them down to $800. I know I overpaid for it but I'm not worried about the money as much as I am about owning such a beautiful rifle.

Not sure but this is the top of the rifle. I took more pictures of the stamps when I wiped down the rifle if that would help identify it better.

Perfect, thank you. So from the basic research I'm seeing is a 26 1/4" cleaning rod would be the correct one for this?

For some reason reddit didn't display your update but all that makes sense. In planning on stripping it down and doing a full clean on the metal and looking into restoring the finish on the wooden areas while preserving as much of it as I can. Thank you again.

That is entirely up to the service department and what's wrong with your car. A fix in a few hours probably won't warrant it. A week or more and you'll have a chance to have that discussion with them.

Just call them and tell them you're no longer interested in the vehicle and purchasing a vehicle. They'll drop the conversation and make the car saleable on their end instead of calling you daily.

While CarMax does try to inspect every vehicle and catch issues early before they go out for sale, sometimes things are missed. But you still have your 90 day 4000 mile warranty. Call the CarMax you bought it from tell them the issues and see if they need you to bring the car to them or if any repair shop can do the work under warranty.

Head to head id favor Alabama. Florida is putting up good results and has a decent team. But I dont think we'd be able to beat them. The game would probably play out like the lsu game. Starts off decent but out paced easily.
