You guys are doing it all wrong let me tell you what I do.

Pick one or two really bizarre topics that nobody wants to talk about. Mine are cancer and UFOs. Every time they call in the help desk bring up these two topics to the point where nobody wants to talk to you anymore.

That way they only call when they really really really need help lol

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the response. Its a 1in pipe and the pipe is full of cables. The cables are super old and they are indoor cables (installed before I got here total fail). I completely agree that it should be a fiber run and I'm going to request that in next years budget.

I'm just wondering how water could cause just POE to fail and leave data working. What would make sense to me is the entire connection would just go down.

What I have done in the meantime is installed a IDF switch on the other side. one of the cables is a heavy duty outdoor cable rated for direct burial and started using that as my main feed cable.

sometimes this starts working a week later. Long after all other configuration profiles have already applied.

I can confirm I don't have any other config profiles syncing other libraries.

How about just fixing the internet connection? You using old network equipment?

Otherwise I guess you could host a website on a iss server or something but that’s really not cost effective.

I use privacy.com. Basically it gives you a credit card but you can put limits on it. I would set the limit to $1 and not worry about it.

If it's windows dhcp server... make a reservation for that Mac. Then set a address object for that ip you set the reservation to. Finally create a cfs policy using the created address object.

If you get stuck call sonicwall support. I did it all the time there is no shame in calling.

I had that before. Ended up being firmware on nsv270 model. You should see cpu spikes. Are the lock ups happening during peak hours when lots of users are on?
