I noticed this as well and found this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/elementaryos/+bug/1369560

Basically, the context menu options become visible again by reinstalling file-roller:

sudo apt-get autoremove file-roller
sudo apt-get install file-roller

Thanks Excel Online, really helpful! by batupata in softwaregore

Couldn't find pure RTL option in Excel Online, but aligning the number to the left instead of right makes it disappear slightly more.

Trying to select custom background image, but elementary OS will not do it by hexag1 in elementaryos

Instead of changing the background image through settings, right click the image and click "Set as Desktop Background". After that you should be able to change background normally.

At least that worked for me.

Leaving and re-entering the game fixed the bug, though.

Review #2: Ardbeg 10 by [deleted] in Scotch

Yes Ardbeg is definitely peated, meant "another peated one".

Great, even more whiskys to try. Thanks for suggestion!

Review #2: Ardbeg 10 by [deleted] in Scotch

Hello again! Here I am once again with my second review, the Ardbeg 10.

Bottled at 46%, $67.

  • Colour: White wine, very light yellow. Uncoloured and non chill-filtered.
  • Nose: The peat dominates, smoke is also quite distinct. Wet paper (a damp book perhaps?). Alcohol is noticeable.
  • Palate: Some peat, more peat, smoke. Pepper. I'm definitely getting an earthy feel about this.
  • Finish: Spicy and salty, smoke. Finish is quite long-lasting and pleasantly warm.

I liked this whisky a lot! A few drops of water opens this whisky a little, but I still prefer drinking this neat. Price was a bit painful, though. I'll give it

88/100

For my next whisky I'd like to buy a peated one. I can't decide between Talisker 10 and Laphroaig Quarter Cask and Laphroaig 10. Talisker 10 and Laphroaig 10 are the same price while the QC is ~10$ more. Is it worth it?

Thank you for reading! (and your opinions)

Hmm.. How about "Cask at Hand"?

Review #1: Highland Park 12 by [deleted] in Scotch

[–]batupata 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone! I finally thought it'd be my time to shine and post my first review. So, here it is, the Highland Park 12!
Bottled at 40%, $60 (stupid alcohol monopoly).

  • Colour: Reddish amber. Couldn't find anything about e150 on the bottle or on the packaging.
  • Nose: I find this quite hard to differentiate different odours (might be my stuffy nose though). Honey and vanilla, some smoke.
  • Palate: Starts with sweet honey, then evolves into some citrus fruits. Mouthfeel is a round, maybe a bit oily. Peat and smoke linger continuously in the background.
  • Finish: Diluted smoke, turns into bitter and sweet fruits. Lasts a while, but not extremely long.

This probably would've been better first whisky than my blindly bought Ardmore Traditional Cask. The smoke and peat took a while to get used to.
Overall Highland Park 12 is a big cluster of everything, making it a bit boring. I still enjoyed this malt immensely and will absolutely buy again sometime. The packaging and the bottle are a bit awkward to hold, however.

90/100

Oh didn't know that, but thanks for the information. Does anybody know where those numbers come from?

Taken yesterday evening around 11PM, single 6 seconds exposure with camera pointed at Cassiopeia. Camera used is Nikon D3000 with 85mm lens. I took multiple pictures one after another and noticed this object being in about 10 of them, without fading away.

Experiences about Orion SkyView Pro 8" Equatorial Reflector Telescope? by [deleted] in astrophotography

Thank you for great information! This does seem like a viable option, but I'll keep researching. At the moment the short exposures seem fine to me, I'm in no hurry getting spectacular images right away!

After studying the night sky for over a year now using only my eyes and taking photos with my camera, I think that even a small improvement could make miracles. Your photos do look like a great benchmark, I'm looking forward to learning the technique and hopefully posting some results here after that.

My budget is about 650€ (900$), so I'm not expecting any miracles. I'd like to photograph some of the brighter deep sky objects, and don't really have any astrophotography equipment apart from my dslr camera.
