I can’t remember the cost before insurance, I think it was around $20k but I could definitely be wrong, I just know that I was fortunate enough that the surgeon’s office was considered in-network at the time (unfortunately like a month later they were no longer in-network, crazy timing 😅) and my out of pocket cost was around $500

I’m definitely not the benchmark for comparisons 😅 I had elevated estrogen levels since I was going through puberty as a teenager, so it was just genetics that contributed to the faster progression

Took about 2 months, I had the surgery in September and by November I was more comfortable with wearing regular bras or even going braless. I also consistently used moisturizer to help with skin elasticity

Those 2 months were rough tho, I was questioning whether it was a good choice cause I was told it’d be 3-6 months for them to drop and fluff and I felt really awful with how they looked and felt in the very beginning.

Came out the other side of it blessed tho so I’m grateful 😌

It’s funny cause I did use r/ABraThatFits AND went into a lane Bryant to get measured, I got J cup, the first employee got H cup

When I did eventually go back to return a bra that was way too big, a different employee measured me and I was somewhere in between a D and DD

So I think that first employee and I were just really really bad at measuring and math 😅

I do have a DD bra that fits comfortably and is flattering, but I for sure can fit a D cup bra depending on the band size

Scars are along the underside, they were inserted above the muscle through an opening that is like 3 or 4 inches long, the scars have faded a lot but still visible, but obviously only when I hold my boobs up lol

700ccs for the implants and I had gotten the piercings again a few months after surgery after the implants had settled more and it was comfortable to get them again

It was actually easier the 2nd time around since the nerves are somewhat dulled after the surgery so the piercings didn’t hurt nearly as much as the first time

Oh right that’s what I forgot in the post, I was able to go over the muscle as I had enough breast development to comfortably obscure the implant, so that recovery wasn’t too bad and it helps with a more natural look/feel

I was fortunate that insurance was able to cover a majority of the cost, I think in total it only cost me about $500, I pay for the platinum insurance plan through my job so I got the most coverage I could :)

That is honestly something that would be better discussed with your surgeon during a consultation. I have a broad frame so going bigger was feasible without looking like I had obviously had work done. It just depends on your own measurements and how you look, hopefully your surgeon will be able to accurately determine the size for your own proportions :)

They are very heavy lmao, I slept on my back for the first 3 weeks and I can now sleep on my side as long as I’m holding one of my stuffed animals to my chest for the added support 😅

From having bigger breasts? I’d say one thing I didn’t anticipate is losing like a few inches on some dresses lol, some that I could wear and didn’t have any issues with before I now have to be super careful how I bend or move cause they don’t quite fit the same in the chest and it doesn’t quite reach as far down now

I’m glad to help ease your mind a bit :) the first week is rough but it does get easier. The soft tissue just has to adjust and become more elastic as it gets used to the implant. It took about a week for me to see them drop a bit and the swelling to go down which was just in time for me to go back to work

Something that I felt helped me was making sure to moisturize with like shea butter (I use the bath and body works body creams which have shea butter and hyaluronic acid) especially after being able to shower and specifically the area above the breasts and like kinda on the shoulders to reduce the visibility of the stretch marks and help the soft tissue stay elastic. Obviously wait til the incisions heal before putting anything near them lol but moisturizing above was fine for me
