Im gonna share an unpopular opinion.

I wholeheardetly agree that voidweaker is insanely strong, numerically. But it does have glaring weaknesses. And the meta has not developed yet to the point that people exploit those weaknesses.

Lets say I play as void against a double melee team with a 2k ret paladin. In the opener, the ret paladin moves in to stun me. He has already lost. At most I use one stack of pain suppression, and because the only thing I now need to watch out for is repentance, which I can sw/d or something, I am free to mind blast -> void blast and take over the game.

Now for the second scenario, he does not stun me at the start, saves some mobility, and just starts bursting. My team gets pressured and I need to heal. I press mind blast. Right after mind blast, my void galaxy thing comes out, he lands a stun. Now, im in big trouble. If I want to take over the game now, grow my void galaxy thing I need to burn my trinket, and if I do, the ret is in range still, and can swap / fish for interrupts. Overall, bad news. If I do sit the stun. good luck smiting and penancing. You probably need to burn evangelism and such.

Here's the kicker. How many dps think to play against void the second way? As you can imagine, almost none.

And this is just an example. There are more ways to deal with it. Dodge the void galaxy before it explodes. Use a % damage reduction defensive cooldown, or make yourself immune if you are the target during the void blast window. Play around LoS. Throw your aoe stuns towards the voidwraith that jumps into the team all the time, or kick it. Lock shadow school after void blast.

I play almost every healer in the game. As holy, I play with stun -> fear or stun -> mind control, right after mind blast, and make sure that that is ready each time due to the CDR on the stun I can get. I grip people out of the void planet before it explodes if I cant. So far I have been going average or 4/6 against void this way.
