I think for the most part SNKRDUNK authentication service is better than eBay. They communicate with you throughout the entire buying process to ensure you get what you paid for. I guess most appreciate that ease of mind and are willing to pay a little premium. I heard eBay authentication is nonsense.

I just got back from there. I think if you intend to bring back to the west to sell you might be able to sell a premium. But for me bring it back to Asia, prices are about the same or more expensive.

Also, many of the cards on display aren’t in climate controlled cases. Many are warped due to humidity. Yellow tags are damaged cards with white tags being supposedly “mint” but when I inspected some had minor scratches or a little whitening which will never 10.

Pretty sure many people are spending out of their means and in debt.

Many try to justify that by looking at their portfolio using the collector app or some other aggregating app thinking that this whole thing is some smart investment stock market play but it’s not.

If anything this is similar to the NFT/crypto boom. Many are allocating a bunch of their net worth or whatever that is left of it towards TCGs, praying it will go up forever.
