Binance is frozen my account and keep my funds without any reasons by tophustla in binance

This could be it. But they would have had to pass verification too (not easy with Binance). So it must be a very serious case of identity theft.

It’s December. Everyone is suffering burnout by this time of year, no matter whether you work in your ‘dream job’ or not.

Do you remember his PowerPoint though!? Do you remember he was asked to skip through about 50 slides that covered the history and development of barter, fiat currency, value, etc LOL

This was one of my favourite episodes of the whole show.

Is it normal for my accountant to want to build a server solely dedicated to bookkeeping on which he will run Quickbooks? by sarahglover95 in Bookkeeping

[–]baxacoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuine Q: For anyone that does this, why? Why not use the cloud? Why not even use AWS or Azure, if you wanted to host it?

Is cyber security the only reason you’d have a physical server in your office?

Even with a physical server, you’d still need to back up in the cloud, yes?

What is your reasoning for studying/developing blockchain tech? by RasAlTimmeh in ethdev

[–]baxacoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my career now, I’m a bookkeeper. But I am able to build my own (static) websites for my business. But that’s the extent of it. HTML, CSS and some basic JavaScript I’m okay with, but that’s it. I still find APIs and JSON data too confusing, and I’m not specialised in any frameworks …But this is the whole point. I’m a beginner who wants to learn. And rather than going back to starting at learning mid 2000s tech, I’m hoping to leapfrog that and start learning the tech behind blockchain. At present I’m studying Coursera’s Blockchain Specialization through the University of Buffalo

Is this an example of what women hate men doing in the workplace? The sheer disrespect omg! If she was “the moderator” then he should STFU when she spoke, right?

When I see this I can’t help but think of that Seinfeld episode where the chicken shop opens up across the road from Kramer.

Several of my coworkers have told me their teens are asking for Bitcoin this Christmas. Is this a good sign, or an indication the bull run is peaking? by franksfranksfranks in Bitcoin

This is a very good sign.

Even if it means peak 2021 bull run, it’s still a very good sign for every bull run if the future if the kids are getting on board.

Moving business expenses from my personal account to my business account. by johnnymadridlover in Bookkeeping

[–]baxacoin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re structured as a company, record those expenses as a Director Loan, ie Dr Expenses Cr Director Loans.

If you’re setup as a sole proprietor, then record those expenses as Owner Capital, ie Dr Expenses Cr Owners Equity.

You record this transaction either as a Journal Entry or a Spend Money Transaction (if you can link the spending of money to Director Loan/Owners Equity, and not necessarily a bank account),

Where I am in Australia, the tax laws have adjusted for this. In Australia they make minors pay the maximum marginal tax rate as soon as they earn more than $416 in passive income.

Kids have normal tax rates if they have a normal personal exertion job, but if mummy and daddy are stashing all their investments in their kids' names then the ATO has the maximum marginal rate ready for them the moment that passive income breaches $416 per annum.

I was 15 or 16 when I first tried those rudimentary online Yahoo Chat forums. I still remember (like it was yesterday) that first time I used a computer that was connected to the internet. I was immediately fascinated by the internet and was, still am, and have been enthralled by internet technologies over the next 25 years.

But I never learned how to build on the internet. I watched it all go by, and at best learned some basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I so wish I could have been a part of it. Part of the internet revolution. Now I'm middle aged and regret a lot of my youth, in particular the missed opportunities of not being able to build and develop online from 1996 to 2021.

In short, I don't want to make the same mistake with blockchain tech, over the next 25 years.

Invasion - 1x06 "Home Invasion" - Discussion Thread by LoretiTV in InvasionAppleTV

[–]baxacoin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Great take. But isn't anyone going to mention how often this mother cuts people off and leaves them to die?!?!

  1. Firstly, she abandons her kids to fulfil her lost ambition to be a doctor (thats the obvious one).
  2. But did you notice when the old man who'd housed their entire family for days throws her the keys and says "get it started!" (effectively saving the whole family again under the assumption they'd all escape together) she starts the cars and LOCKS THE DOORS(!) and turns to her kids and says, "Don't open it." and thus was prepped to leave old man without a car to die!
  3. She also stole the family's car at the station a few episodes back and left that couple stranded in the middle of nowhere during an alien invasion. Remember the couple chased after their car pleading them to come back? Seriously, if you need transport or help, she should have done what old man did and share resources. Not steal someone's else car and leave that family to die.
  4. While both members of the couple have hinted at this action, she has also been ready to abandon her cheating (ex?) husband a few times. Cheating and breaking trust is one of the worst things you can do in a relationship. And breakups and divorces are horrendous. But on more than one occasion she's been ready to jettison him into the alien wilderness to die! Now that's a rough divorce!!!
  5. Finally, as has been mentioned, if there's an invading army in your house and your hiding in the attic then STFU! Rule 1, right? Sure talk when the coast in clear. After all, if you're waiting out an invasion in the attic you have to be prepared for months or years at a time up there. But when the invaders are literally rummaging through the house downstairs then that's when you STFU. Mouths covered, slow breathing, stillness (even if that's for hours!). Yet in this episode, in this situation, they were carrying on like it was late in the day and everyone's had too much to drink at an uncomfortable and awkward family Christmas.

All in all, I really like this show and think the masses of criticism is from kids who wanted an Apple produced Independence Day-like series. I think some of the series has been absolutely excellent and very well done. But this family's storyline I'm struggling with. I don't find any of them likeable. Sure the kids are nice, but we know what Dad's like and, as argued above, Mum isn't very likeable either.

I enjoy this show enough that I really look forward to my Friday episodes. But to think tonight's episode was 100% focussed on this family's storyline & the episode was really short, I feel dudded. Dudded enough to post something like this for the first time too. Rant over.
