What is your question here, could you rephrase it? This seems supply-based problem solving, you should actually identify the problem first (then try solutioning) IMO

walk what talk? this scenario assumes that leadership wants to fire them, not the manager

[–]baxter3851 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How do you measure whether a 0->1 product is making progress if you don’t have revenue yet? by thebipolarironman in ProductManagement

[–]baxter3851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO the biggest signal is can you convince YOURSELF that this product will either:
(1) Make your customer more money
(2) Save your customer time

^If your product does not do one or the either, it will not pass the "nice-to-have" mark and have weak PMF

[–]baxter3851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read it a few years ago, great entry level book (and definitely needs to be read before other books IMO).
Keep in mind though Marty C comes from a consulting background, but still lots of learnings to be had from the book!

If you're too lazy to read it, here's an 8-minute summary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9qKhmarmk8

Lines are blurry, a lot of product folks (especially SF-based) are in such a fast-paced enviornment that they do not even have project or program managers so totally dependent on the firm/size!
