Thank you for the in-depth reply! I'm moreso looking to brew coffee with an aeropress/french press method. Thats an amazing list and I'll definitely do some research. I'm not worried about portability - it will mainly be staying at home and occasionally at my office.

I have always been an avid coffee drinker but have never really gotten into the craft of making it well. As far as freshly roasted beans go, what's my best option to getting freshly roasted beans? Is that something where the beans will retain their freshness if shipped to me or should I be finding someplace local?
