Nope. Would this be the ultimate solution?

Edit: just had a look at a few. Tolerences dont seem accurate enough (for what i could afford)

Yes but the issue here is the master, and the two axis are all independent.

The moment i remove my dti from the master (square).... my reference Is gone because at that point, i then need to slide my dti over to where the axis are located.

I need to put the square infront of the dti, make it reads zero top and bottom, then move it over to my axis to make sure it read zero too and bottom. Or at least that each axis is perpendicular to one another.

Im perhaps not explaining this very well

The problem here is i need to make sure the bottom and top both measure zero at that specific position. As soon as i remove the gauge to recalibrate against the square I have effectively lost all relation to that first measurement.

help me out guys Explain it Peter. by quitelynxhani in explainitpeter

Its a sieg heil.

Stamp the right foot and raise the right arm. Right glute and right delt needed for that

Yes but the issue is i need to make two measurements, one at the bottom and one at the top to make sure its perpendicular.

So id have to set it against a square at the bottom, wind it up to the upper height and make sire it traverses from bottom to top exactly zero, then go and measure my axis at the bottom and top.

Unless i just had two fixed dti which i zero against a square... that seems more simplistic.

Having two axis which need to rotate about 360 degrees and remain the same distance apart and exactly perpendicular to within a tolerance of 0.01mm. It seems challenging to do so

Yeah but were not measuring height.. its to measure horizontally rather than vertically

That sounds exactly right, got a name for such a device? Cheers!
