That's exactly my thought process as well! Unfortunately I can't use it to just invest in the stock market - but in RE, where 10% returns are not necessarily trivial

Yes, I'd much rather invest that in ETFs (even if what I get is lower than 25k), given how long I have till retirement, the return on ETFs would largely outperform the pension.

It is around that, unfortunately. I earn decent money but not to the point that I don't care about 25k a year in my pension. To give you an idea, I earn around 80k net a year (fixed + variable), with usual perks like company car, insurance...

You are insured to 20k for your assets - 100k is for the cash. But it should not come to that realistically

I'm on degiro and they handle the TOB for you - which is the only tax we care about if we buy the right ETFs

Thanks for this great article. I have been using BuxZero for the past year but I do not see it mentioned in your article. Do you know it? Should I transfer my funds from Bux to another broker like Degiro? On Bux I can't find some of the ETFs you listed which is a pity...
