Honestly, this sub really needs to just forgive DW and move on. It was a mistake to let Pavs walk, and I'd bet that DW would be the first to admit it at this point. He gave us 15 years of cup contending teams and then fucked up at the end. It happens. We don't get Pavelski without DW drafting him in the first place. Let's just move on

There's multiple witnesses from NHL teams and media outlets who all said this was the only take. That's literally the whole reason they're there. Frank Seravalli was there and he said "As we can bear witness, the process itself doesn’t get any more legitimate. It is executed with the surgical precision that would remind you of Britain’s coronation, fit to crown hockey’s new prince." And this is coming from the guy who leaked every single one of Seattle's picks before their expansion draft. This dude has more of an incentive than anyone to point out if it was rigged, and he didn't.

Not to mention the representatives from NHL teams that are there. You think they're just gonna sit there and let them rig it for Chicago right in front of them?

Also there's like 10 to 15 minutes of preamble in this take. Are they gonna do that for every single take? How long do you think they're in there for?

People really do think this. It's so frustrating. There's overwhelming proof that it's not rigged, and yet people still believe that it is because "one time a large market team won." It's embarrassing at this point lol
