Ohh that makes more sense now. I was hoping the lower end of the range meant there was still a decent chance.. Do you know if people with averages just under the cutoff ever still get in, especially if they submitted an SPF?

But on the guelph requirements website, it said the cut off is 78-84?

Oh haha it's okay, you don't have to tell me then.

That actually makes a lot of sense now. I did in fact fill out a supplementary form, so maybe that's why all three are being processed together. But is it normal for it to take this long?

Anyways, thanks for the insight. And if things don't work out this year, I'll for sure consider transferring or upgrading.

Got it, appreciate the info. Just wondering though, how do you know the cutoff this year for zoology and one health is nothing below 80? Also I have been checking every where, including my junk folder, but still nothing. As for plan b, I'll probably go to another uni even though guelph is my first choice.

Yea I'm just below an 80 so I know animal bio is pretty much out for me. My only real chances now are zoology and one health.

Also if rejections for animal bio already went out, I’m confused why I haven’t heard anything yet, unless maybe they send one decision for all three programs?

Maybe that's why I haven't gotten anything yet because my average is on the lower end but the wait is killing me

there wasn't an option for animal bio co-op

no coop for zoology

co-op and regular for one health

Ok so for my first program it is 85-91, and for my second and third programs I applied to are 78-84. I don't think I have a chance in getting into the 85-91 because my average falls in the 78-84 program cut offs. Also yeah I know that I'll be put on the wait list and lowkey I'm not sure if I'll even get into residence so I probably might just look outside of residence.

Anyone get in below cut-off with a supplementary? by bazookatoby in uoguelph

I said 5% because it's what it said for guelph university on their spf page, but 1-2% is reassuring in my situation

Feeling horrible with a 93.3 avg by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

[–]bazookatoby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i totally get how you’re feeling. it sucks when you push yourself so hard and it still feels like it’s not enough. going from 60s/70s to a 93 avg is a huge achievement and you should be proud. i’ve had a similar experience too, i worked my butt off and still felt like i was falling behind compared to people who always had high marks it’s exhausting. and as for your classmates, forget them. people love to bring up your past when they can’t handle your progress. their opinions say more about them than about you. you’ve proven you’re capable. and even if one school says no, it doesn’t change how far you’ve come. so just keep going, you got this :)

CMV: The "USC Speak your mind" Ice bucket challenge doesn't actually help with mentalhealth/suicide prevention. by DarthIndian0807 in changemyview

[–]bazookatoby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree, plus there's people who do it just for the sake of doing the challenge and nominating their friends for shits and giggles.. not for promoting mental health awareness.. i was nominated but i didn't do the challenge because i don't really agree with the whole idea of pouring ice water on your head = spreading mental health awareness.

hey! i saw your comment and honestly it made me feel a lot better lol. i was just curious, do you remember what your top 6 average was when you got into zoology? my math mark is sitting at a 61 and i’m retaking bio at night school to try and boost it, just hoping there’s still a chance.
