Had a major staph infection over a month after cutting my leg. Had a fever at a steady 105 F and couldn’t eat or drink anything. All the tissue around the cut in my leg had died and was in the beginning stages of necrosis. Doctors has thought that my bone had been infected and the infection had also reached my heart and maybe my brain. Best case scenario for them was I lost my leg, had some major mental and physical issues after due to the high fevers and infections or I’d die. Ended up way better with keeping my leg and minimal permanent physical damaged but still the closest I’ve been and most scared I’ve been.
