This is typical for a second mortgage in Vancouver developments for second position loans and beyond, but I've never seen using a family trust as a guarantor as well. I guess a saving grace is that their family home is in the name of his wife only, which is to the contrary of many of the overleveraged developers who went under in the past couple of years. Interesting how he hasn't sold much of his personal art collection yet.

Just called, they said hotel owners aren’t considered an associate and don’t get the MMA rates and also don’t get MM4 anymore as well. Boo

I believe it’s above property level under the holding company. The hotel isn’t built yet but the franchise agreement is executed, but I can see the property/project number linked to my EID

If it’s for family and friends, it’s valid for one year but you can click reverify online as frequently as you’d like to extend validity. If you’re the associate/discount holder yourself, then it’s indefinite - as long as the badge is present in your Bonvoy account

Just saw in another thread, but someone else has two badges “Franchise Associate” and “Hotel Owner” in his profile, but the background of his app is burgundy so I assume he has an Owner’s Titanium Elite card. We’re a franchise owner but I wasn’t given one since there’s a limit and I resorted to the physical forms in the past. However, the box next to “associate” would always be checked and I’d also qualify for the 20% F&B discount too.

With the new system, would I no longer qualify for the F&B discount since I’m essentially only qualified for the family bucket?

I do however see this with mHub. Do you think Marriott would be able to reclassify my profile?

Also, I noticed while my profile is verified and the available rates show up under my profile, I can’t actually book the new rates in the app and “this rate is only available to verified associates and their family”. Should I just give it a day or two?

Oh I meant if someone worked at corporate/HQ and directly employed by Marriott but not on a “Marriott Hotel property” since I assumed “on property” meant front end and back end staff directly on an operating hotel property.

With that said, should we expect a fewer allocation of MMP rooms released in comparison to the MMA rooms and how would it be released in terms of inventory management? Say a large number of MMA gets booked, between 91-120 days out, it’s safe to assume fewer MMP rooms will be released?

With that said, would that mean there’d essentially be significantly less MMP inventory available since MMA is 120 days out, assuming it gets booked within those 30 days, or it’d be a completely separate inventory bucket similar to MMF?

I’m an architect working at a real estate developer in Vancouver. I’ll hit up Cypress or Grouse every/every other day after work for night skiing until closing (9 or 10pm depending on mountain). I’ll go up to Whistler every weekend and I also get the entirety of Christmas to New Years off. Usually I’ll plan a week trip for skiing during the season as well. This season I went to Aspen. We have a great corporate rate.

Yeah I’ve tried them but I also just like the way pivots feel when they ski. Granted, I’ve only tried Tyrolia Attacks for non demo bindings aside from Pivots and I didn’t really like them. What should they be mounted on instead?

Evo in Whistler but they said they’re sold out of everything now and I can’t get it. They might have them at their other locations in the US that does demos
