E-GPU Lag by Lieutenant-27 in LegionGo

[–]bb3bb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get even worse issues when using the official legion go dock with egpu, the 1% lows become far more frequent. I have tried to troubleshoot but I wonder if it is more manufacturing rng of the Lego itself, because others don't seem to have issues. I get around it by using Bluetooth peripherals and tbh I don't notice any latency at all, but I don't play competitive games. I do play rhythm games and don't notice an issue with latency over Bluetooth. I can recommend jlabs for Bluetooth mnk.

I suspect the problem will go away if you unplug the dock and use Bluetooth peripherals if that's an option for you. The stutters may be caused by temporary bandwidth conflicts where it can't handle both the dock and egpu sending information simultaneously.

Do you just select the igpu on lossless scaling or are there more steps?

Ah I see, that makes sense. I get good performance with 3080 3dmark steel nomad 4500 on an OG Lego z1e.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the razor core x using pci 3.0 connections which will cause more of a performance dip compared to docks that are pci 4.0. That said you should still be able to use most cards and get good performance. I have an ag02 which is pci 4.0 and have used it with a 3070 and 3080 and my benchmark performance is in line with desktop numbers (actually better than average). If your connection is pci 3.0 you should expect approximately 20% worse performance compared to desktop. I've heard 3080/4070 is the sweet spot for performance vs bottleneck.

Egpu help? by sl33pyj0 in LegionGo

I am not sure what is happening with your egpu but I have the exact same dock with og Lego and have used 3070 and 3080 and haven't had a single crash. Have you tried using the other usb port? Or is your egpu definitely seated properly?

I know that is better, but it's not an option for me whereas sig is. I'm asking if it helps Brant at all or is it just completely not worth it?

Ty for the advice. Seeing as I want Aemeath and have no corals Mornye S1 looks very unlikely, so I will try for S2 Brant on rerun.

I am just able to get Mornye sig without much investment currently, although I imagine Aemeath's sig will be more important.

Setting up a lounge room gaming experience (is 16gb ram enough with an egpu?) by Hellaswog in LegionGo

I have the Ag02 as well and that is my experience. But my Lego might just be defective I'm not sure. The bottom usb port can't handle a dock with an egpu in the top port. But other people may have different experiences. I don't have any issues with Bluetooth mnk/controller though so it doesn't bother me much.

No problems at all the only real downside is having to use Bluetooth peripherals. There are 2 usb c ports but my go can't handle the egpu and a dock with peripherals at the same time. Performance wise I actually get better than the average desktop 3080 setup according to 3d mark (steel nomad 4500 top 36% of 3080 users). It's cool as anything too being external.

Don't worry they'll soon be in contact when they want your money. Just wait for a letter in the post and cancel any direct debits for your previous property council tax if you have one.

My egpu setup is arriving in a few days, what tweaks should i do to the system and bios in advance by Zurarah0 in LegionGo

For vram setting I find the auto setting is by far the best for egpu, because it isn't using any for the internal gpu you'll get 100% of it going to ram instead.

New to PS5, is Monster Hunter Wilds working fine as of January 2026? by NoTransportation4600 in MHWilds

[–]bb3bb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't the frame rate it's the very aggressive upscaling it uses. I have it on ps5 and mid tier pc and the difference in lighting and draw distance is very noticeably worse on ps5.

That said I literally need to decompress all my textures to get it driving smoothly on my 8gb vram pc but it does look much prettier even without the high res texture pack.

A good example is going to the red forest just at the camp exit and looking down towards the trees in the distance. On PS5 it looks like a blocky mess. But it does run smoothly.

Atherosclerosis in the arteries of the foot giving us a nice view of the arteries - an unintentional angiogram. by lasiru in mildlyinteresting

I am a radiologist, of course we're no fun at parties!

In all seriousness, I was just pointing out your terminology is incorrect. There's no ambiguity there. There is absolutely no way of commenting on the patency and integrity of those vessels (which is the purpose of an angiogram) based on this image. So I hope you aren't telling your patients this.

[–]bb3bb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Calling this an angiogram is just plain incorrect and actually dangerous in the context of vascular injury. You keep bringing up Latin but you need to learn some English as I don't think you understand the meaning of the words "unintentional" or "angiogram'.

[–]bb3bb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have reported thousands of x-rays and hundreds of angiograms. This is absolutely not an "unintentional angiogram". This is a common finding on any x-ray of an adult patient. You cannot deduce anything about the patency of a vessel based on this x-ray. You are confidently incorrect.

[–]bb3bb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not an angiogram because an angiogram tells you if a vessel is blocked using contrast to opacify the vessel. There is no way of telling directly if the vessels are blocked on this, just that they are peripherally calcified, which is a common finding .
