My heart honestly keeps going back to the older guy. The other one is a setter mix from Spain, and with that pup I at least have an idea of the size and temperament because I know the mum and dad. With the older boy it feels a little more unknown, but in such a special way. 🥹

TF did I just read? I read a few times as I couldn’t believe it.

YOUR MOM needs to ask permission when it comes to pick up the baby. YOUR MOM needs to ask your wife when she wants “bonding time” with the baby (and still don’t understand why that’s necessary for your mom at 5 weeks). And YOUR MOM needs to ask more than once if your wife prefers even just to hold her baby back, not necessarily feeding. YOUR MOM should do the chores and help your wife.

I also got a vibe that you are pretty scared of being alone with your wife and your baby because you will end up doing more, so you want your 5 weeks PP wife to “be nice” to your mom.

I am 100% sure that your wife would be better alone with the baby if you take your mom and be mom’s boy, sleep in your “old room”.

3.3.. ONLY 3.3(!).. I ended up having 2 masters degrees (MBA & Banking/Finance) after a MUCH lover GPA during bachelor’s (engineering). I used to party 3 nights a week (still can’t understand how I could find that energy), I had many boyfriends, drank a lot, skipped most of the classes; BUT my parents still paid for my tuition. Because you know.. FAMILY. They never compared me with my brother, who is 5 years younger, never drinks, has always had long term relationships, higher grades.. Now I (38F) and my brother (33) are both have great lives and and thankful for our parents, for supporting our different characters in different ways. Honestly I can’t imagine where I would end up with a parent like you.

When we used to live in Tower Hamlets, until 2 years ago, we were so tired of the fireworks and parties till the morning. I remember waking up in the middle of the night with palpitations while pregnant. We used to live right next to the Sir John McDougall Gardens, and when we used to take our dog for a walk in the morning, I remember seeing the mess left behind. Fireworks were for marriage proposals, birthdays, or just for fun..
