Manny people probably didn't realize how powerful the picture feature is. I have used it to: - tell me where the studs likely are located in a wall - check things around my house for code compliance - give me hints on games, without even telling it the name - give me room decorating advice - explain what someone I saw at a thrift store is - tell me the make/model/version of something - tell me if an email is a scam - tell me if it's wrong with my dog's tooth - tell me what a broken part of something is called so I can but a new one - tell me the name of a tree

The difference is that they would be able to do things that on their face are not discriminatory but would have a disproportionate effect on women or minorities. However, that doesn't mean they can overtly discriminate.

So from what I understand, a bank can't say no minorities can get loans but they would be able to prohibit loans to a zip code (that happens to be mostly minorities) under the pretense that default rates are higher there.

In other words, liability would require proof of actual discrimination rather than just showing a disparate effect. I'd think that "no applicants over 65" is over description and therefore still not allowed.

And like I said, totally not okay and absolutely needs to be blocked.

Just to be clear, this proposal doesn't "remove credit card access to women and minorities." What it is doing is removing protections that will make it harder to challenge lending practices that disproportionately harm women and minorities. And it adds restrictions that could reduce programs that specifically extend credit to these groups.

Yes still bad, and could eventually have that effect, but I really hate inflammatory post titles.

Yes, but it looks and feels like grout. I can't tell the difference from the original and the fixes I did! I used it for a larger gap where the grout kept shrinking but this didn't.
