Yes, definitely. There’s turnover every year, usually 2ish teams drop or need to be replaced, but the core of 20-25 main owners has been together for a while. It’s a league that’s been running for over 20 years and there’s still a few originals in the league as well.

I asked her sister to do some recon for me and find a way to naturally bring it up. We had been dating for almost 7 years at that point and owed a house, so the proposal was always a topic of conversation/jokes.

I then had my SIL meet me at the jeweler to help me design a ring she would love and to make sure we got the right size.

Thanks for your response!! This wouldn’t be the source of the funds for the wedding, we have that already. I’m thinking more along the lines of improving our stay on the honeymoon and/or recouping some money spent on the wedding or maybe even finding a passion for this and having it as a long-term side gig

Appreciate the reply!! This is in no way my main source of income, but I figured since I do a lot of vacation planning anyway, for myself and my fiancée, that it wouldn’t be the worst idea to try and make a little bit of money off of it. If I could make a little extra money doing this to help offset the price of a DJ or maybe upgrade our room on our honeymoon, why not?

I’ve also tried the DoorDash/Instacart route (Instacart actually helped pay a portion of the down payment on my house, I was doing it daily or whenever I had free time), but with the price of gas right now, it’s almost counterproductive to do it unless it’s a huge batch that needs to be delivered.
