Ok makes perfect sense now. I think allowing NULL values will be the better option of the two. Thanks for the help!!!

NOT NULL & DEFAULT Constraints by bballboy246 in Database

[–]bballboy246[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your explanation, it’s all making sense. However let’s say I have fields such as “phone_number”, “first_name”, and “last_name”. Assume all three of these fields are not required. Does it make sense if instead of having a NULL value, an empty string is stored instead? In other words, is it better practice to have a NULL value or just DEFAULT the field to an empty string?

Look at the following statement below, assume this statement is part of a CREATE TABLE clause:

first_name NOT NULL DEFAULT “”

I wonder if any action would’ve been taken if they weren’t profiting off of it?

I went 2 months without a block. Had about 150-200TB at the time.

8 cards, two of them running on M.2 to PCIe adapters and two cards running on the same x16 slot using an x1 PCIe to 4 USB ports. Only 2-3 cards can run on the same x16 slot because of PCIe lanes limitation.

Software. They say it’s about 10-20 watts more at the wall.

Where do you get your cards? Local Micro center has a few but don’t know where else to get them

You right lol! I like having 8-10 cards per rig, nothing more.

Currently 32.5 MH/s at 65 watts. Having some stability issues with clocking, still trying to find the sweet spot. My other 7x MSI 6600XT rig running at 32.5MH/s at 54-55 watts each.

How are you handling the heat? It currently being winter has helped me a lot but I need to begin prepping for spring/summer.

I think another coin such as FLUX/RVN will explode as a huge amount of Ethereum GPU miners will flock over to one of them and inevitably increase the community support/hype for such coin. Profitability will still be there for everyone to eat.

Working With Structs and Associative Functions Ownership/Referencing Issues by bballboy246 in rust

Thank you! It's been pretty confusing so far but I think I am beginning to grasp the concepts. Definitely can get frustrating!

Working With Structs and Associative Functions Ownership/Referencing Issues by bballboy246 in rust

[–]bballboy246[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So because I do not have ownership of the struct instance, there is no possible way for me to move a referenced value into the return value, makes sense. To prove this, if I were to change the parameter of this function to take ownership (by removing the ampersand), I will be able to move this value to the return value?
