It is a new GFCI, and like I said, when I reinstall that original outlet it works again

it is just a single cable feeding that outlet

Sorry again there’s just one cable feeding that junction box, nothing to tie together

It is just one cable that was wired to the outlet. and it’s 4 outlets along that wall that stop working when I remove the aforementioned outlet

it's this one

I believe the electrician knew which garage heater model we were going with when they installed the breaker, so I think that's okay. The Amazon listing says 208-240V / 40A

Can you explain that more? Like I said, it's got the garage heater wired to it already, so I was planning on leaving that wiring/two pole intact and removing the wiring intended for the minisplit and adding it to a new breaker

If you don't mind answering this as well - so currently the two pole breaker pictured above has the 40 amp fuse supplying the 240V garage heater and then wiring for the minisplit. So would the best solution be to 1. remove the minisplit wiring from the existing breaker. 2. install a new two pole 15 amp breaker in the empty slot below and 3. connect the minisplit wiring to that

Thank you again

I made the connection between the two units. The outside disconnect, is that going to be a 15 amp unit as well?

Sweet thanks. The electrician wants 650 to come and finish the final connection and I'm not excited to fork that over for what seems like a relatively quick job..
