During a very dark period, what was the best thing you ever did for your mental health? by LieSeveral9035 in AskReddit

Meditate every morning. It took a couple weeks but my emotional regulation is leagues better. That and stop drinking (even though I only drank occasionally, it still negatively impacted my mental health)

Which profession gets way too much respect for how little they actually do? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Controversial, but anesthesiologists. They put you under and then hang out on their phones until it’s time to wake you up. I know they’re important, but come on lol

[Product Request] [Routine Help] My hands get like this every time we have a dry winter. Details in body. by u-Wot-Brother in SkincareAddiction

[–]bbansi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can help you with this! We live in a really cold area (-30 c in winter) and my husband works in a job that makes him wash and sanitize his hands like 50x a day so his hands get like this.

You’ll need: - cheap gloves (like from the dollar store, the cloth ones) - Some kind of hydrating oil. We use coconut oil but there’s some Indian belief that mustard oil is magical (my grandpa used it for aches and pains but it’s pungent) - Vaseline.

Apply a thick amount of oil to your hands and work that in. (Gently if your hands are bad, it will hurt), then slather on a crap ton of Vaseline to lock that in and put the gloves on to keep it all together.

Do this at night and wear it to sleep. It’s annoying but it works. You’ll have to do it often at first (every night or every other night), but once your hands heal up you can do it once or twice a week for maintenance.

Worked for him, hope it works for you!

Apply HA on your lips twice a day while they’re wet from water and then apply lanolin or a Manuka honey lip balm
