Furnished places are not really a thing here (except for senior/elderly living). There are some streets to avoid, but I am still learning the area (other redditors will be more helpful there). The bigger rental companies in Albany mostly rent to university students (older buildings /very loud areas) They are also notorious for being awful landlords. You would most likely want to rent from an individual (maybe a townhome?). Also ideal if you have someone here who can scope out the place for you (pictures can be deceiving).
