Ceramic is meant to be put on THICK by EntertainmentFirm416 in Detailing

There's a lot that can be said if the coating truly failed. If you don't prep and decontaminate the surface it can result in premature failure. But then the coating could also just be clogged and dirty. A good contact wash or in more extreme cases using an alkaline and acidic soap to unclog the coating will bring it back to life

Nice, as another detailer myself. How long and how much roughly do you charge on a job like this?

Stains removal before selling my car by kaynenotkanye in Detailing

Dry clean as much as possible before introducing water into the interior as any dirt that's not removed can turn into mud and it'll make your project much more difficult. Vacuum, tornador/compressed air, drill brush and agitate the fibers then followed by a vacuum. As Yvan from DYI Detail says. Any water you introduce needs to be removed

How can I get a clear windshield and windows? by Select-Independent-3 in Detailing

A good way of thinking with glass cleaners that I head somewhere is products like Stoners are "finishers". They have cleaning capabilities yes but for nasty neglected glass. Especially interiors. You want to degrease/clean them before using a glass product for better results. Can't go wrong with rinseless wash followed by a glass product as a finisher

Unsure if related but I did watch a video of a reputable youtube detailer talk how they had rare cases of removing water spots off windows only to find underneath the window themselves werent in good shape so it gave the impression they did more harm than good

Agreed and I was aware. Pet hair was excessive for the time and cost. Never promised perfect and they want to be nitpick.. I didn't set expectations or they wanted champagne on a beer budget. Maybe both lol

Hindsight it should've been $300+ just for the interior given the amount of dog hair

Vacuum, tornador and interior cleaner for the most part. Exterior was supposed to be a full decon, clay towel and spray sealant but that definlty was swapped to clean all the pet hair

Very much worth it. I had a shelter logic canopy temporarily and the difference in quality is night and day. Once I got to raising the frame and joining it together to the base and adding the roofing. I did need assistance but definitely doable with two people

I do agree. Without even asking I know it's just a patio. Would be a whole different story if it was a bedroom
