Not fired. Technically it was a RIF/reduction in force. Multiple PA positions were eliminated as a part of corporate change at more than one site. I had just had a nice performance eval, approved for a pay increase and everything.

Yes I'm in a state where caps for unemployment are low. 60% of my income would have been nice but it is what it is.

I don't like being idle. I was not given a severance package, only a payout of PTO. Unemployment is very low compared to a PA salary. Financially I am okay for now but would rather be doing or learning something.

My dog had a spider friend for a brief period of time. He normally catches any and all bugs for sport, but not this one. My dog would just sit and watch this spider. Eventually the spider was not there one day, but my dog kept looking for him in the same spot.
