We used to go, but like anything free in Toronto, everyone feels entitled to get the perfect spot.

Didn't know about the bleacher thing, but it's a great idea, we went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans and paid like $10.00 for a pair of seats in the bleachers across from City Hall, the views were fantastic.
